The Global Marijuana March in Germany

Tens of thousands of individuals in Germany joined the Global Marijuana March. They want to protest for their right to access cannabis products legally and without consequences. It is a result of a  released press statement by the German Hemp Association. It indicates that despite the German government’s 1.5 years of efforts to legalise cannabis, someone in Germany is reported to the police in relation to cannabis every 3 minutes.

Since the late 1990s, the Global Marijuana March has grown to be one of the major protest days for the global legalisation movement, especially in Germany. Around the world, there are protests in hundreds of cities. Their goal is to repeal the cannabis ban. This year’s activities in Germany will be held under the national theme “Legalise instead of imprison!”. It will be due to the political climate and the rise in criminal complaints.

On May 6, 2023, Global Marijuana March protests are planned in a number of cities in Germany, including Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart, among others. The declaration emphasises how crucial it is to keep working toward the legalisation of cannabis in Germany and other countries.

Germany is about to legalise cannabis for recreational use. There is already a plan on how to set it up. Moreover, many drivers are being verified before legalisation. Nevertheless, people decided to go to the streets and recall what they were promised.
